The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation is seeking an Accounting Assistant. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Assistant performs a variety of accounting and administrative tasks in support of the Foundation’s work. The Accounting Assistant complies with financial, administrative, and record-keeping procedures and works with colleagues to identify opportunities to streamline systems and improve service.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has two to three years of experience in office administration and a basic knowledge and understanding of accounting, banking, and bookkeeping. Successful candidates thrive as part of a team that values integrity, open and direct communication, vulnerability, and empathy.
