John Simonette

John has over forty years experience as a CPA in government, management
consulting and public accounting. As a senior executive with the Government
Accountability Office (GAO) he directed worldwide audits and evaluations of
federal programs and systems.  After his career at GAO, he was a Senior
Management Consultant with Coopers and Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse
Coopers), where he assisted federal clients in designing and implementing
financial management systems and internal controls.
 
Since relocating to the Charlottesville area several years ago, John has
assisted local CPA firms in directing and performing audit, tax, and
accounting services.
 
John is also active in local volunteer activities, and has provided
financial management consulting services to a number of local non profit
organizations. John is currently assisting CACF in seeking accreditation with
the Council of Foundations National Standards Board.
