Tell us a little about yourself
I am a recent UVA grad living and loving Charlottesville life. I love to cook and eat, especially at the fabulous restaurants here. I am also a wine-enthusiast, even working part-time at Veritas Winery. I absolutely love football, especially the South Carolina Gamecocks (see next question) so Saturday afternoons better be free for my schedule.
What brought you to Charlottesville?
My parents. I have lived here for 20 years, except for a two year stint at the University of South Carolina at the beginning of college. I finished out my education at UVA and don't plan to leave again anytime soon.
Why did you decide to become a Future Fund Member?
It is related to my field of work (Development) and a great resource for young professionals. Being around people who also support local philanthropy is interesting!
What is your favorite aspect of being a member?
Meeting new people! And running into people I haven't seen in a while!
Favorite philanthropist or charity?
Anyone who helps students graduate from high school. It is such an important milestone for future success.
I just learned about CHiP (Children's Health Improvement Program) and they do really important and inspirational work for young mothers in our area. Check it out!
Three things you can't live without?
1) My morning cup of coffee
2) My best friends
3) My favorite jeans. I keep getting them repaired because I can't bear to let them go!
