Tell us a little about yourself
I've lived in Charlottesville for more than 6 years and love it here! I own Duo, a clothing boutique located on The Corner, and now have a second store in Harrisonburg. I love to be with friends, volunteer, run, go out to eat, and play with my dogs Winston and Maggie!
What brought you to Charlottesville?
I moved to Charlottesville in the fall of 2006 to work at SNL Financial, and I worked there for a little over a year before I left SNL to open my clothing store.
Why did you decide to become a Future Fund Member?
I've always heard that it's a fun group to be a part of! I love the idea of pooling everyone's money to make a big impact on deserving organizations.
What is your favorite aspect of being a member?
I just joined, so I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people at the events!
Favorite philanthropist or charity?
I volunteer at Boys and Girls Club through the Junior League and absolutely love it! We get together with a group of 9-14 year old girls on Monday nights and do all sorts of fun activities with them - they are awesome girls and I love hanging out with them!
Three things you can't live without?
My dogs, coffee and shopping (I work in retail, what can I say?)
