CACF: An Investment in the Future of Our Community
The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation is a permanent endowment dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people of Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and the adjacent counties east of the Blue Ridge mountains: Greene, Orange, Louisa, Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Nelson. CACF is unique among local nonprofit organizations because through it individuals, organizations, and businesses can make contributions for the long-term benefit of the community.

CACF NEWS: Center For Nonprofit Excellence accepting applications for the Board Development Academy through August 15th
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) is pleased to announce that nominations are being accepted through August 15, 2010 for the second year of the Board Development Academy (BDA).
BDA is a nine month training program that provides best practice knowledge, skills and performance tools to promote effective board governance in area nonprofits. The Academy is seeking men and women from across Central Virginia who desire to engage in nonprofit board work as a means to serve the community.
If you are interested in learning more about the Board Development Academy there will be an information session at Live Arts on August 4th from 4:00-5:00pm.
