Zan Short

Mrs. Short has been a CACF Governing Board Member since January 2002 and is the chairman of the CACF Follow-Up Committee.

She is the founder of Party Parade and President of the Party Parade Board.

At the University of Houston, she was the Director of the Clinic for Children with Reading and Emotional Disabilities and a counselor in the University’s Counseling and Testing Center.

In Charlottesville, she has served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, the Ronald McDonald House, and The Charlottesville Garden Club.  She was president of the University of Virginia Women’s Club and a member of the Charlottesville/Albemarle Planning Task Force. Mrs. Short acts as a fundraising consultant for various non-profit organizations in Virginia and other states. She is the creator and webmaster of the Party Parade website and the website for the Charlottesville Garden Club. 

Mrs. Short received her B.A. from the University of Missouri and her M.A. from the University of Houston.
