James R. Peterson

Mr. Peterson has been a CACF Governing Board Member since January 2007 and is a member of the Grants Committee.

Mr. Peterson is the former Executive Director of Region Ten Community Services Board and the former President and Chair of JAUNT (Jefferson Area United Transportation). He was also the Executive Director of the Church Community Corp. in Newport, R.I., and incorporated and acted as first President and Chair of Jordan Development Corp. He was the Chair of Charlottesville Albemarle Commission on Children and Families and the Treasurer and Membership Chair of Senior Statesmen of Virginia. He served on the Board of Directors of Northwestern Virginia Health System Agency and is a member, former President and Secretary of the Rotary Club.

Mr. Peterson received his B.A. and M.S.W. from University of Washington (Seattle).
