Apply for Future Fund Grant

Each year, Future Fund members choose a grantmaking theme and accept applications from local nonprofits through an application process. This year the grantmaking theme is Healthcare and the service area is Charlottesville/ Albemarle.
 

A Grants Committee comprised of Future Fund members reviews proposals and recommends a slate of finalists to the full Future Fund membership, which then votes on the final recipient(s). All grants made through CACF are approved by the CACF Governing Board.

The membership may choose to award one large grant or to provide smaller grants to several organizations. The Future Fund seeks to respond to nonprofits or governmental organizations seeking programmatic, capital, or capacity building (improving organization effectiveness) support.

The focus of the Future Fund’s grantmaking is determined in November for grantmaking the following spring.
