  • Bama Works Fund grant applications are being accepted thru August 1, 2014. Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band in CACF supports charitable programs in the Charlottesville area with a particular focus on disadvantaged youth, needs of the disabled, protection of the environment, and the arts and humanities. Grant applications from beyond the Charlottesville Area are accepted by invitation only. Read More
  • Provides grant to nonprofit organizations working to promote citizen understanding of the economic importance of agricultural and forestry enterprises in Central Virginia and the adjacent areas. Read More
  • The Eco-Living Fund is accepting grant applications thru June 25, 2014. The Fund supports efforts to steer the daily life habits of people toward zero-footprint or net-positive impact on the natural world and away from environmentally unsustainable practices. Grants will be considered for projects that focus on specific, concrete actions that have quantifiable results of people living more sustainably.   • The Charlottesville Area Community Foundation sponsored Give4Good - Greater Charlottesville, an online Giving Day on May 6, 2014. This first area online giving day raised over half a million dollars for 142 area nonprofits. Read More
  • The purpose of the Community Endowment is to improve the quality of life for residents of the CACF service area, which includes the City of Charlottesville and the surrounding counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Nelson and Orange. Read More
  • In its 20th year, the Youth Service Award Committee has awarded $200,000 to community organizations to date. Read More
  • The Prana fund seeks to support projects that assist children and enhance educational opportunities for young people. Special consideration is given to projects with hands-on learning integrating both environmental education and/or the fine arts. Read More

  • The Louisa County Community Fund (LCCF) in CACF provides grants to support nonprofit organizations working to improve the quality of life in Louisa County. Read More
  • A giving circle for philanthropists in their twenties, thirties and forties in which members combine their charitable dollars and decide as a group which nonprofits to support. The focus of the Future Fund’s grantmaking for 2013-2014 will be ENVIRONMENT in the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County. The application deadline is Friday December 6, 2013. Read More
  • CACF made its first grant of $100,000 to the Community Mental Health and Wellness Coalition (CMHWC) -- a nonprofit coalition of 15 agencies and 8 supporting agencies that was formed in 2009 and has been working to address gaps in the local mental health care system. Read More
