Community Engagement

Imagining change through connections and creativity

At the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, we’re committed to driving positive change through creativity and social connection.  We use the arts to awaken our imagination and mobilize us to action, together. Through creative forms, such as music, poetry, spoken word, dance and digital arts, we transcend the literal, and venture into our imaginations to explore and create the world we want.

Different art forms will be used throughout the event series, each planned to inspire us to more thoughtful forms of civic engagement. We are leaning on our community to support each event, and to create an environment where we can:

1. Inspire thoughtful civic engagement
2. Build community and make connections
3. Make an impact.
